Warm welcome to the opening of the 2026 summer semester!
Our university came to Munich exactly 200 years ago (in 1826). As a result, a completely new main building was constructed outside the city, which still characterizes LMU today and is iconic for it. In a few introductory remarks, the dean would like to gather observations about this building under the heading “Theology at/in the Main Building.”
In addition, the Peter Neuner Prize for Ecumenical Research will be awarded in collaboration with the Faculty of Catholic Theology. As always, there will be information about the life of the faculty.
The musical accompaniment will be provided by Stefania Bille (vocals), Ulrich Wangenheim (saxophone), and Michael Roth (piano).
