The library's collection covers all areas of theology (biblical, historical, systematic, and practical theology), religious studies, and philosophy. Special collections exist in the areas of contemporary church history, Jewish studies, intellectual history and philosophy of the Renaissance, as well as logic and scientific theory.
The Theology and Philosophy Library is a reference library. Most of the collection is freely accessible and organized according to the RVK (Regensburg Classification System). All books and journals can be searched via the Munich University Library catalog.
