The interaction of media and religion provides a revealing view of religious traditions, organisations and symbol systems, both from a historical and contemporary perspective. Since 2004, the interdisciplinary research group Media and Religion has analysed the interaction of media and religion, both in terms of theory and through empirical case studies. Today, the group is comprised of scholars from a number of countries and disciplines whose varied methodologies bolster the project's interdisciplinary character. The group organises regular meetings and workshops, hosts public events, and publishes research in a number of languages.
Scholars from different countries, academic traditions and disciplines, working with different methods and approaches make up the research group.
