Study of Religion

The Chair for the Study of Religion and the History of Religion is dedicated to theories and methods for the Study of Religion in light of a cultural study approach. General questions dealing with religion from a conceptual perspective are linked with the critical analysis and interpretation of phenomena in past and present Europe. We focus specifically on the multi-layered interaction between media and religion. Particularly, we work on the multi-layered interaction between media and religion. This focus characterises not only our research profile, but also our course offering.
